Cedar Park School

Working together to be the best we can

Reading Museum Visit

Today, Year 6 became Victorian children and travelled back in time to Victorian England. They dressed as Victorian school children and were transported back over 100 years to a classroom of the late 1800's. They learned how to behave and address their teacher as Sir or Ma'am, which I must say I rather liked!! Cursive handwriting with ink pens was a bit of a challenge and most children now have blue hands. The children were very well behaved and only one child was caned!
In the afternoon children learned more about the working lives of children, from sweeping the chimney to emptying the guzunder!! If you want to know more come to our class assembly on Friday 14th November!!
