International Day was a fantastic day in Year 5. We focused on the country of France, to tie in with our topic for this term.
We began the day by learning some new French vocabulary for popular French foods. We then took on the role of waiters and waitresses and took orders from our friends, in French.
We then were introduced to lots of French Speciality foods and were given the task of researching them to find out what they were and what part of France they came from.
During the afternoon we tasted lots of new foods – cheeses, flans and breads. Some of us found that we even liked olives and prunes!! It was a really fun and informative day.
