We have a beautiful library that children visit each week with their class teacher. Children are able to choose a book for enjoyment and take it home. We encourage children read these books with adults at home. Younger children will also take home books that are chosen for them by the class teacher, often linked to their stage of phonics development. 

We now open our library four times a week at lunch times. Many children said that they loved reading in the library and that once a week just wasn't enough. So we now have staff take children to the library Monday to Thursdays if they would like to. 

We have four fabulous librarians from Year 6, who assist our younger children during lunch time. They help children to choose books and will even read to/with them. It is one of many responsibilities out Year 6 children have at the school.
