Welcome
Welcome to Cedar Park School!
At Cedar Park School we are working together to develop our children as happy, safe and successful learners that are able to grow in confidence, are motivated and take an independent lead in their own learning journey. Our core principles of being kind, being inspired and believing in oneself form the basis on which we plan interesting and exciting learning opportunities across the curriculum. We feel very proud of our children and our school environment. Visitors to our school regularly comment on the calm and caring atmosphere and the evident enthusiasm the children show in their learning. As a staff we place a strong emphasis on supporting children’s personal development and well-being and pride ourselves in the fact that children enjoy coming to school.
Cedar Park is a one form entry primary school situated in Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire. The school is organised in classes by age and we offer 30-hour-per-week places in our nursery. Each class has a named class teacher and at least one additional adult employed to support children in their learning. The school is very well resourced, with excellent outside learning areas (including forest school provision), a music room, a cookery room, ICT facilities across the school, our own indoor swimming pool, a well-stocked library and sheltered grounds.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection (May 2019) recognised that:
“Cedar Park is a vibrant, happy place, where pupils enjoy coming to school. The school is very friendly and caring and pupils speak very positively about their experiences.”
Whilst staff and Governors are very proud of what we have achieved, our overall aim remains... to be world class in all areas of our work. Cedar Park is a forward-looking school where we strive for high standards in all that we do. We aim for each day to be an exciting one, providing a wide range of experiences and opportunities for children to learn more about themselves and the world around them.
We are committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and provide a full range of extra-curricular activities where children can have fun, develop new skills and take part in events with children from other local schools. We are supported extremely well by the Friends of Cedar Park School and are very grateful for the effort that they put in to organising family events and improving opportunities for everyone here. Our school website is a way of maintaining good communication with parents, children and our local community. Visits to the school are welcome and as a staff we are always pleased to meet with parents and to help in any way that we can.
With best wishes
