School Improvement Plan

Cedar Park is a wonderful school that does so many brilliant things for the children. However, we are on a journey of continuous improvement, and, as such, have a School Improvement Plan.

The following targets are on our SIP:

 

1. To ensure provision is at least 'Good' in all areas of the school.

 

2. To enhance English provision by:

  • Introducing a robust plan for phonics catch up,
  • Implementing a research based approach to producing more Greater Depth writers,
  • Implementing a new spelling scheme that enables children to apply spelling rules to their writing.

 

3. To ensure we hit our curriculum mission statement- LEARN. 

 

4. To embed both out core and wider curriculum assessment cycles. 

 

5. To ensure that SEND and PP pupils benefit from high-quality interventions. 

 

6. To make sure we have happy, safe and successful period, through the introduction of OPAL. 

 

7. To create a positive transition between EYFS and Year 1, so that children's academic and pastoral needs are met. 

 

Many of these targets are being achieved due to our commitment to continual professional development of our staff. Below is a document that sets out our offer at Cedar Park.
