WELCOME TO YEAR 5!

What an eventful Autumn Term in Year 5!

I am really looking forward to working with Year 5 in the Summer Term. 

Uniform

It is important that as some of the older pupils at Cedar Park, that we model correct uniform for the younger pupils. Hair should be tied back with plain hair ties and clips of a colour that matches our uniform. Ear studs are permitted. 

PE & Games

PE days are Thursday and Friday. This term, our units of work will be Cricket and Tennis.
Children need to ensure that they are wearing the correct kit, which includes trainers, black shorts or jogging bottoms, their house t-shirt and a jumper for outdoor lessons. 

Homework

This half term, homework will be set on a Friday and due in the following Friday. To boost our arithmetic skills there will be a weekly arithmetic quiz which your child should complete as much of as they can independently. This will be reviewed in class. There will also be a SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) task. 

School Councillors

This year, our school councillors are Millie & Samuel. They were voted in by our class in October and their responsibilities are to attend councillor meetings, share their peers ideas and feedback and work with other councillors to make our school as environmentally-friendly as possible!

MITPs

This year, we have the privilege of being MITPs, where we support all pupils in the playground by encouraging kindness and modelling behaviour.
