Welcome to Summer Term in Year 5
(2025-2026)

Hello everyone and welcome back! I hope you had a brilliant Easter and are ready for your last term in Year 5! 

This term, Year 5 will be exploring why people go on journeys and the impact these journeys had.  We will also be looking at our planet and the impact climate change has on our blue planet. We will also be taking part in two trips: a visit to the Living Rainforest and a Geography fieldwork trip to Amersham Field Centre. 

In Science we will be looking at life cycles and how animals including humans change over time.

PE

Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday and we will be focusing on Cricket and Tennis. 

Kit

PE - wear PE kit all day - please dress suitably for the weather. 

Library

Our Library day is on Wednesday morning. Please ensure you bring your books back each week so that you can swap them for a new one. 

Please bring a fresh water bottle every day, and a sun hat.
