Welcome to Year 4! 

We hope that you have all had a restful, relaxed and enjoyable summer break and are looking forward to the new school year. We are delighted to welcome the children back and are excited about the many opportunities and experiences that the year ahead will bring. 

We would like to introduce the Year 4 teaching team. Mrs Iyer will be teaching the class from Monday to Wednesday, while Ms Roberts will be teaching the class on Thursdays and Fridays. We look forward to working closely with the children and supporting them throughout what we hope will be a happy, successful and rewarding year. 

PE  

On Mondays and Thursdays, which will continue until the end of the Autumn Term. 

Please ensure that children come prepared with the appropriate kit for both sessions. 

Library 

Our weekly library session will take place on Thursday mornings. Children will have the opportunity to select books to read and enjoy at home. Please ensure that library books are returned each week so that children can choose a new book. 

Class trips and workshops 

 We will be sharing the dates for our trips and workshops for the autumn term in the coming weeks. There will be a workshop on Buddhism ( R.E. topic), details of which will be shared in the coming weeks. 

There is plenty to look forward to in Year 4, and we are excited to see the children develop their knowledge, skills and confidence throughout the year. We look forward to working in partnership with you to ensure that the children have a positive and successful year. 

Times tables check: 

In year 4 as we all know, children take their national multiplication times tables check (MTC) in June. We help children learn their times tables throughout the year and help them become test ready.
