Welcome to Year 5!

We hope that you have all had a restful and enjoyable summer break and are looking forward to the new school year. We are delighted to welcome the children back and are excited about the many opportunities and experiences that the year ahead will bring.

We would like to introduce the Year 5 teaching team. Mrs Almrott will be teaching the class from Monday to Thursday, while Mrs Haque will be teaching the class on Fridays. We look forward to working closely with the children and supporting them throughout what we hope will be a happy, successful and rewarding year.

PE and Swimming

On Thursdays, children will have their swimming lesson, which will continue until the end of the Autumn Term.

Our PE session will take place outdoors on Wednesday afternoons. Please ensure that children come prepared with the appropriate kit for both sessions.

Library

Our weekly library session will take place on Thursday afternoons. Children will have the opportunity to select books to read and enjoy at home. Please ensure that library books are returned each week so that children can choose a new book.

Our First Class Trip

We are very much looking forward to our first class trip of the year to Ufton Court on 10th November. As part of our learning about the Vikings, the children will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Viking life and experience aspects of the period through a range of engaging, practical activities. We are sure this will be a memorable and valuable experience for the children.

There is plenty to look forward to in Year 5, and we are excited to see the children develop their knowledge, skills and confidence throughout the year. We look forward to working in partnership with you to ensure that the children have a positive and successful year.
