School Council 2025-2026
Each class democratically elects two pupils to sit on the School Council. Additionally, the elected Head Pupils from Year 6 chair these meetings with the support of Miss Mason. Councillors will discuss and feedback the views of their peers to ensure that every child's voice is heard and considered. The School Council meets on a regular basis, aiming for a minimum of once per half term.
School Council discuss many issues and topics throughout the year. However, their main focus for the 2025-2026 academic year is the launch of OPAL. OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) is a project aimed at ensuring that all children have happy and successful lunch times. The previous school council's work will be continued after they successfully delivered a whole-school questionnaire, presented the initial landscape plan to their peers and interviewed Miss Mason to understand how they can contribute to the launch.
